Rams WR Demarcus Robinson charged with misdemeanor DUI

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI, Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office he told TMZ Sports on Thursday.

The charges follow his arrest on DUI charges on Nov. 25 after the California Highway Patrol reported that officers observed him driving northbound in a white Dodge at more than 100 miles per hour.

A press release issued at the time of the arrest stated that officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication.”

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office told TMZ that Robinson will be arraigned in late February.

News of the indictment comes days before the Rams are scheduled to host the game Minnesota Vikings in Monday’s wild-card playoff game.

Framework chose not to suspend Robinson after he was arrested in November along with coach Sean McVay, who said the team would “let the legal process take place” and allow the league to go through the disciplinary process as well.

“I think it was a bad decision he made. I don’t think that makes him a bad person. And I truly believe that with his words, our boys will learn from this and hopefully no one will ever do something like that again,” McVay said at the time.

Robinson, 30, has started all 17 games for the Rams and leads the team with seven touchdowns. He is fourth on the team with 31 receptions and 505 yards.

ESPN’s Sarah Barshop contributed to this report.
