Liverpool and PSG keen on Lyon star

Liverpool are one of the clubs to make signings in the January transfer window Lyon attacking midfielder Ryan Cherky.

The talented young Frenchman looks set to be available on the cheap this winter, possibly for as little as €30 million.

A report from Foot MarketThose known as Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain Cherki’s biggest suitor.

Liverpool offer for 26-year-old world class!

Both clubs seem keen to do a deal for Cherky as soon as possible to avoid facing more competition for him later on.

The 21-year-old has an impressive record of five goals and seven assists so far this season and it seems clear he has a big career ahead of him.

Liverpool would certainly be a tempting option for a player like Cherky if he were to leave Lyon, but one imagines PSG would be hard for him to turn down.

Cherki is still young and could do well to stay in Ligue 1 for a while longer and it is possible that he will have a more important role if he moves to Parc des Princes.

Liverpool manager Arne Slott already has a number of options in his attack, with Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa all playing in Cherky’s position.

Conversely, PSG need a bit more quality in attack after losing Kylian Mbappe in the summer, so someone like Cherky could be ideal to give Luis Enrique’s side a bit of a boost in the second half of the season.

Liverpool fans will no doubt be keeping a close eye on this story, though, as €30m could be an absolute bargain for a talented prospect like Cherky.
