Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are interested in a deal for former Juventus and Roma defender Dean Huizen to ease their injury woes at centre-back, just six months after the Bianconeri sold him to Premier League side Bournemouth.

According to reports from AS DiaryHuijsen is one of the standout defenders on Madrid’s shortlist, as they look to cover injuries from the recent departures of Eder Militao, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Nacho Fernandez.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been monitoring the former Juventus next-gen defender for some time already, dating back to his time in Spain in Malaga’s youth ranks.
Huizen, who spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan with Roma, Left Juventus on a permanent transfer in the summerJoining Bournemouth for a fee of just over €15m, plus up to €3m in bonuses.

Although a specific price has not been revealed, Huissen is expected to fetch a substantial sum if Bournemouth are to sell him next month.
The 19-year-old has only made 12 Premier League appearances, but has looked in goal recently, netting twice in his last five games from centre-back, including one against Manchester United.

Born in the Netherlands, Huijsen has dual citizenship and is also eligible to represent Spain. He has made seven appearances for La Rosa’s U21 side in the last 12 months.
