Reigning champion Luke Humphries bundled out of 2025 PDC World Darts Championship by perfect Peter Wright after inspired display

Wright started the tie brilliantly to open the first set, ending the deciding game with a well-timed 13-darter. Humphries made it 1-1 again in sets and also in the deciding set, with both sets could have gone either way.

But the highlight came in the set for Humphries when he pinned a stunning 161 to take it to the next level. However, Wright found another piece of equipment with a truly dazzling array of finishes.

He recovered 96 points to take a decisive lead in the third set and regained the advantage after shooting 8 of 11 in the outer ring to go up 2-1, and Humphries was in serious trouble in the next set.

Wright pinned on November 16 and led 3-1 in sets as “Snakebite” grabbed a two-up lead in a shocking display considering his year, as well as a recent chest infection that left him struggling with the weather, but he continued to play against Jermaine Wattimena.
