Ajax defender Devyne Rensch has landed in Italy and is expected to undergo a medical in the Italian capital ahead of Claudio Ranieri’s January move to Roma.
The final agreement was reached between the two clubs on Tuesday evening, and now only a few formalities remain before the Netherlands international is unveiled as a new Giallorossi player.
According to reports from Corriere Dello SportThe 22-year-old will move to the Stadio Olimpico for a fee of €5m, with an additional €1m in performance-related bonuses.
Rensch is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract until the summer of 2029 with a salary of €1.2m per season.

The versatile defender, who originally featured at right-back for Ajax, landed at Rome’s Ciampino Airport on Wednesday and is expected to begin his treatment later today. As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the checks will be completed by Thursday at the latest.

He will then sign the necessary documents on Thursday, train with his new team-mates and could be included in the matchday squad to face Udinese in Serie A on Sunday. Thursday’s Europa League match against AZ Alkmaar will be one too soon.
