Sai Sudharsan took to social media on Tuesday to thank the BCCI and medical team for their efforts and vowed to become stronger after undergoing surgery.
According to media reports, Sudarsan is undergoing sports hernia surgery in London.
The 23-year-old Tamil Nadu player played just one match in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before heading to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. While the date for his return is not yet known, he is expected to miss the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy later this month.
Sudharsan was part of India A’s tour of Australia in November, scoring 127 runs in two four-day matches, including a 100 in the first game. In the Ranji Trophy, the left-handed batsman hit a double ton against Delhi and a valuable 82 against Saurashtra, his two matches so far Zhongdu shot a valuable 82.
He was retained by Indian Premier League (IPL) side Gujarat Titans for Rs. 85 Crores Before Big Auction.
