Pierre Kalulu’s early second-half goal was canceled out by Matteo Retegui’s late equalizer as Juventus drew 1-1 with Atalanta in Serie A on Tuesday.
Juventus has drawn 13 of 20 league games and ranks fifth with 34 points. Atalanta, which has also drawn three games in a row, is in third place with 43 points, four points behind leaders Napoli.
Kalulu scored nine minutes after the break when he slid Weston McKennie’s pass past goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi into the box at the near post.
However, Atalanta had strong momentum and substitute Retegui, who had returned from injury, equalized with a header in the 78th minute from Raoul Bellanova’s assist.

Despite the draw, both sides recorded some positive results, with Atalanta remaining unbeaten in 15 Serie A games for the second time in history.

He is also the second Juve manager after Antonio Conte to remain unbeaten in his first 20 Serie A games after picking up a red card in Saturday’s derby against Turin.
Atalanta had more possession in the first half, but the game was largely dull, with both sides testing the ball and failing to capitalize on their chances.
Juventus’ best chance came just before half-time when former Atalanta player Tern Kupmeinas stretched to collect the ball from a cross, but Carnesechi deflected the danger.
Offensive Juventus
After the break, Juventus launched an attack. Kalulu’s header from a corner kick hit the post and rolled across the goal line before Kanesage made a clearance, almost taking the lead.
The ball then fell to Juventus and his shot was blocked, sparking an Atalanta counterattack that ended with Mario Pasalic shooting wide from the edge of the area.

The intensity of the game remained high after Kalulu’s goal and minutes later Atalanta midfielder Ederson’s low shot forced a diving save from Michele Di Gregorio.
The home side went close again when Ademola Lookman’s shot allowed Koopmeiners to clear the ball almost on the goal line.
With Atalanta gaining momentum, the pressure finally paid off as Retegui equalized to top the Serie A scoring charts with 13 goals.
Both goalkeepers were in action in the final minutes, with Carnesechi stretching to save Manuel Locatelli’s header and Di Gregorio using his legs in a one-on-one situation a minute later Blocked out Nicolo Zaniolo of Atalanta.
Both sides had chances to decide the outcome in the final minutes, with Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz nearly sealing the score when his shot in stoppage time just missed the post.
