New year, new sponsors.
It’s a tradition at Kapalua, with players revealing recently signed deals during the PGA Tour season opener for equipment, apparel and footwear, as well as other sponsors who suddenly appear via logos on hats, sleeves and bags starting Jan. 1.
Max Homa made a big sensation on Wednesday, signing contracts with Cobra Puma Golf and lululemon. Homa, who previously played in Titleist equipment and FootJoy apparel and footwear, will play Cobra driver, irons and wedges. Photos from Kapalua show he still uses a Scotty Cameron putter and says he will continue to play with a Titleist Pro V1x ball.
“Throughout the testing process, I was extremely impressed with the clubs’ performances and I think they will really give me a competitive edge,” Homa said in the release.
Homa will also wear a Lululemon outfit and Puma Golf shoes.
