It’s still mixed fortunes for the PDC’s main representatives as Stephen Bunting is by picking up where you left off, but there’s less fun Chris Dobey who was defeated by Raymond van Barneveld on Dutch Darts Masters.
Bunting won the thriller Gian Van Veen. He picked up where he left off in Bahrain, winning the deciding leg with an average of 102 and 6/9 in the outer ring.
Bunting hit a leg one for 180 after Van Veen had hit one before going 1-0 up. They both went with scappy throwing, but Bunting pinned a double four to break for the first time at 4-2 to go ahead on a double. He turned the screw, going 5-2 up and one from the winning line.
But Van Veen hit a double three on 84, chasing down a board from the original double 12 to make it 5-3. The 11-year-old leg saw Van Veen break and sent it to the end. Only for Bunting to prevail stretching double 16 for the win.

While Raymond Van Barneveld was pursued for most of his victory over Chris Dobey, but punished with a botched match. The roof landed, picking up 144 to sink “Hollywood” and reach the quarterfinals.
They both hit maximum for fun in the first legs, but it was Dobey who led 2-1 and broke to 3-1. He put pressure on Barney to bat and he pinned double 16 for 3-2 and put it back. But Barney Van Barneveld’s Army was silenced as Dobey fell to a 4-3 lead of 180, then 138 to walk two away.
Dobey missed eight darts in the Double and Barney couldn’t take advantage as the Bedlington ace went 5-4 up, but he gave himself a chance to make 12 and double 20 Off 52 for 5-5 and that epic outside sealed it, when Den Bosch was sent to hysteria.
