Target bound? Josh Rock leaves Mission Darts after three years

Josh Rock is one of the most promising players in the darts world. The Irishman from Northern Ireland already had a contract with a darts manufacturer Mission darts at a young age. However, it will end now, both sides mutually agreed.

Rock has been known as a rising talent in PDC for several years. The 23-year-old Irishman from Northern Ireland won the PDC Youth World Championship in 2022, defeating Scotsman Nathan Girvan 6:1 in the final. In the same year, he won as many as five tournaments on the PDC Development Tour, also for the first time as a Tour Card holder. In 2022 he also won his first tournament at the Players Championship, in the final of the 28th tournament he was too strong for Luke Humphries 8-5.

The sky seems to be the limit for ‘Rocky’, who last year added two more Players Championship titles to his record and also won the Dutch Darts Championship, a tournament on the European Tour. In the final in Rosmalen, Rock defeated Jonny Clayton 8:4.

In fact, at main events, Rock has so far struggled to replicate the same success. For example, in 2025 PDC World Darts Championships had to withdraw after a 4-2 loss in the third round to eventual semifinalist Chris Dobey.

However, as mentioned, this future will not involve Mission Darts. “We would like to thank Josh Rock for all of his efforts with #TeamMission over the past three years,” Mission said in a statement on social media. “All the best for your future, Josh!”

And where does his future lie? Everything indicates that Rock will join Aim at the dartsbut we will find out in time.
