Phil Taylor yesterday evening he performed the duties of an expert in… MODUS Super series Legends League finals night saw Richie Howson claim glory after a flawless week with ‘The Owl’.

Taylor saw this from the very beginning of the concept and said it has changed tremendously since then. “When I came back, everything had changed enormously. This room was not there from the beginning. They put a lot of effort into it and spent a lot of money, that’s the first thing I noticed and the atmosphere that even the crowd gathered even though there are only 100 people attending because that’s all it can accommodate, the atmosphere here is amazing and everyone is a darts fan ” – said Taylor on the MODUS Super Series.
Although hypothetically, of course, Taylor said he would really enjoy match practice during his career.
“For me, when I was playing, it would be a great evening training and that’s what you get paid for. I’d rather do that than watch TV and do nothing. That was my mentality, and you play well in practice.”
Except that the big stage gives you what you need so much better than playing smaller tournaments on the floor, and you get over that intimidation after a few tries.
“If you want to be a major winner, you need to have experience on stage. You’ve got to get that stage presence, you’ve got to know you can do it on stage because it’s a different ball game. It’s like cricket and football, playing on the court and on the stage are two different games.
“You think you have cameras on you and you think my mom is watching. My aunt will be watching, my grandma will be watching me, so not only do you put pressure on yourself when you’re in the situation you’re in. I felt the pressure of thinking that all my friends had let me down a little bit, but when you get a little more experience, you won’t you will think so.
“It’s great practice for these players. I know they’ll make a few pounds, but for some of these people it could be the start of winning millions.”
