The departure of Luke Humphries for Peter Wright has been one of the surprises of the World Darts Championship so far.
The defending champion lost to Poland 4:1 Peter Wright in the fourth round after Snakebite averaged 100+ and over 70% in finishing.
Luke Humphries he was one of the favorites to win the Sid Waddell Trophy, and his departure left the field open.
It has been revealed who among the remaining eight Cool Hand players would like to win the tournament.

Luke Humphries wants Stephen Bunting to take the crown
Before the tournament, Humphries practiced with Stephen Bunting to prepare for the Ally Pally event.
After a comfortable 4-0 victory over Luke Woodhouse, the 2024 Masters champion revealed that Humphries wants his training partner to win his first world championship.
Speaking at the post-victory press conference, Bunting said: “I spoke to him this morning [Monday] and wished me good luck, he said that he would be happy to give me the crown and give me his World Championship.
“It means a lot. He is my great friend. We will continue training after this tournament. I know I can go all the way, it’s just about doing it.
Bunting plays Wright in their quarter-final clash in the New Year’s evening session.
Luke Humphries breaks the silence after leaving early
Humphries’ loss to Wright was a huge surprise, especially given Snakebite’s inconsistent form in 2024, but in defeat Humphries was his usual magnanimous self.
Just a few hours after failing to defend his crown, Cool Hand took to social media to congratulate the two-time world champion.
WX Humphries wrote: “It wasn’t supposed to be today. Credit goes to Peter Wright, he was clinical and fully deserved to win.
Humphries defeated Thibault Tricole and Nick Kenny in rounds two and three before colliding with Wright.
