Woods announced the news on his social media accounts on Tuesday.
“It is with the sincere sadness I want to share that my dear mother Kulida Woods died this morning this morning,” wrote the Major winner of 15 times.
“My mother had the power of all her own nature, her soul was simply unacceptable she was fast with needle and smile.
“He was my largest fan, greatest supporter, except for him, none of my personal success would be possible.
“He loved a lot, but especially his two grandchildren -Sam and Charlie.
“Thank you all for your support, prayer and privacy for me and my family. Love you Mom.”
