North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton he declared for the NFL draft on Sunday.
In statement published inHampton said: “For as long as I can remember, playing in the NFL has been a dream of mine and I am grateful for the opportunities that have brought me here.”

Hampton finished second in the nation coming from behind Ashton Jeanty with 1,660 yards in 12 games and 15 touchdowns. He set a new single-season school record with 2,033 all-purpose yards, surpassing the previous mark of 2,021 yards set by Don McCauley in 1970.
The junior rushed for 3,565 career yards, ranking fourth in school history.
According to Mel Kiper Jr. Hampton is the leader No. 2 runs back in the 2025 NFL Draft.
