Lok Yin Lee created a dream PDC World Darts Championships he debuted by winning nine straight matches, defeating Chris Landman to advance to round two.
However, he ruled out Q-School, admitting that his home life and finances prevented him from doing so, after he once tried it himself and found he saw no benefit when all was said and done.

“For me it’s my first experience on stage, but I really want to thank my fans, friends and family who support me, and thank you to my sponsors. I’m very happy about it,” Lee said after the match.
“Ally Pally has a lot of fans and a lot of people behind me. I think the stress is greater than during the World Cup. There’s only one person on stage, during the World Cup I have a partner behind me, so this time I think wow, I’m very happy about this and I really want to give my all.”

He talked about the development of the Asian game of darts with Paolo Nebrida in the lead role, but said there was a clear difference in the game at home and in Europe.
“Paolo Nebrida won the match. He’s a good player. Many Asian players are good players. The difference is doubles and the result is good. But doubles is different from European play.”
But it wasn’t the victory in question that had yet given him dreams of greatness. “I already tried Q-School in 2021. But I’m having a hard time finishing it. Because money and my family won’t allow me to try Q-School. Money is more important to try Q-School. Maybe next year I will prepare myself and prepare for next year.”
