Vishwa Samudra Open 2024: Ajeetesh Sandhu maintains lead after day 3, defending champion Hossain second

Ajeetesh Sandhu continued his hot streak by remaining in the lead with a second best score of 3 for 69 on day three of the Vishwa Samudra Open 2024 at Delhi Golf Club on Thursday.

The Chandigarh pro struggled on the front nine, which involved an unplayable ball in the bushes on the ninth hole, but recovered brilliantly on the back nine to take his overall score to 11-under 205.

Ajeetesh was two shots clear of Bangladesh’s Jamal Hossain, who lost the lead after taking the lead on the opening day. Jamal shot the best card of the day, a 5-under 67, keeping his hopes of winning another title alive. He won the last tournament in Assam.

Second of the night Manish Thakran dropped to 23rd after Day 3 with a 9-for-81. He dropped from 5-under at halftime to 4-for-220.
