Julen Lopetegui West Ham co-owner David Sullivan in talks with January target, but insists he will not let him distract from Thursday’s visit Southampton.
West Ham want a striker when the window opens, but they will have to sell before bringing in someone to meet spending regulations.
‘I’m not going to tell you the discussions I’ve had with David, but we talk a lot about the team, the squad and the next challenge — but right now our only focus is Southampton,’ said manager Lopetegui.
‘There is no more space in my mind now, only this. I believe the only truth is to focus on the next match. Let’s see what happens next.’

‘He’s doing it and we’re happy for him. He is doing well and helping the team.’
