Taylor appeared to be completely out of contention after missing two short opportunities on the back nine, but he was able to make an eagle on the par 5 last to force a playoff with Nico Echavarria. On the first extra hole, Taylor had to make a 10-foot birdie putt to stay in it, then up and down for birdie on his second shot to secure the victory.
