Ange Postecoglou admits his future is out of his hands 2-1 loss to Leicester Tottenham’s problems have deepened and seen angry fans repeatedly call for Daniel Levy to step down as chairman.
Postecoglou, whose side are eight points above the bottom three after a win in their last 11 league games, had to be realistic. Spurs led at half-time but Leicester climbed out of the relegation zone after goals from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khanous responded.

The manager hopes the situation will improve with the return of injured players, while he pointed out that Spurs are doing well in Europe, are still in the FA Cup and are on aggregate ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. Liverpool are 1-0 up but he was philosophical when asked if he was in danger of relegation.
“Who knows?” Australian Dr. “When you are the manager of a football club you can be very vulnerable and isolated. I don’t feel it. I think the players in this team are giving everything for the club. I have a group of employees that are really committed. I focus on that. My role in this is to try and support these players.
“The guys who are coming back will give everyone a lift when they come back. There is a great opportunity to make an impact this season and I know we can. But in terms of your question, is there anything I can say that’s going to change anything I have to do tomorrow morning? Nothing.”
Postecoglou added: “I’ve always felt that the players are still very committed to what we’re doing. It’s important to me, because I strongly believe in it and I really believe that it’s less than this year but I still think that we can do something really special in these last three months.”
Spurs were unable to fill their bench and needed reinforcements before the transfer window closed. “Even one more player coming in will give us an opportunity in a short time,” Postecoglou said.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was delighted after Leicester halted a run of seven successive defeats to climb above Wolves to 17th place. “We were 1-0 down but played well,” said the Leicester manager. “I saw a team that was 1-0 down but not impressed. We got the ball. We started the second half really well.”
