
the wolf Forward Matthews Cunha is still facing a possible Premier League ban after an altercation with a member of Ipswich Town’s security staff earlier this month.
The 25-year-old was charged with misconduct by the Football Association last week Wolves’ 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich on 14 December followed his share of the bruising game.
The incident happened shortly after the full-time whistle Cunha was seen punching an Ipswich Town staff member in the face, shattering his glasses..
Despite the charge, Cunha was still fit to play in Wolves’ 3–0 win Leicester City on December 22, as well as winning 2–0 at their home ground Manchester United On Boxing Day.
On Friday, X circulated a post that appeared to be a screengrab of an FA statement that claimed Cunha had been banned for five games.
However, that post was fake and the outcome of Cunha’s complaint has yet to be confirmed by the FA.
Cunha has been Wolves’ star performer in their last three matches, scoring a goal in each.
Wolves’ next Premier League match is away to Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
