Women’s Euro 2025: UEFA more than doubles prize money to €41m

The prize pool at the 2025 European Women’s Championship will more than double compared to the previous edition, with 16 teams sharing 41 million euros ($43 million), UEFA said on Monday.

Each federation will receive at least EUR 1.8 million for participating in Euro 2025 in Switzerland and is obliged to divide at least 30% of the money among the players, UEFA’s executive committee decided on Monday. The winner of the title can earn as much as EUR 5.1 million.

The clubs whose players compete in the tournament will share €6 million with a daily rate of €657 per player. This represents a total increase of 33% compared to the last European Women’s Championship.

The prize pool for the Euro 2024 men’s tournament was EUR 331 million, with total revenues of approximately EUR 2.4 billion. Each of the 24 teams that took part received at least €9.25 and won the title Spain earned EUR 28.25 million.

UEFA has announced that the winner of the quarter-final between Italy AND Germany.

Italy will host the tournament in Turin, and Germany in Munich and Stuttgart.

Italy has also been selected to host the 2025 UEFA Super Cup match, which will take place on August 13 – between the Champions League and Europa League title winners – at the Udinese Stadium.

UEFA said the new second league club competition, which will start next season, will be called the Women’s Europa Cup.
