Manchester City retained its lead by defeating St. Polten in the penultimate group match on Thursday evening.
Captain Alex Greenwood was taken off on a stretcher in the first half and Lily Murphy opened the scoring in the second half.
Barcelona joined City in the last eight after a 3-0 victory over Hammarby ended the Swedish side’s hopes of advancing.
On December 18, a match will take place in Spain to determine the first place in the group.
If Barca defeats City, both teams will have 15 points each, so the top spot in the table will be determined by their head-to-head record.
It would mean that City, who beat Barca 2-0 earlier in the campaign and led their rivals by three points, would finish top if they won, drew or lost by just one goal.
