This year Women’s Golf Day (WGD) marks a significant milestone marking ten years since the inception of the annual event that has helped provide women around the world with the opportunity to experience golf regardless of their race, religion, language, geography or economic status.
Key statistics:
- Long-time partners of The PGA of America, USGA and The R&A
- 85 participating countries
- 1,350 registered locations
- In 2024, the number of social media views exceeded 406.9 million
PGA venues and professionals who earn professional development requirement (PDR) points for hosting events continue to use WGD as a way to attract new players and honor female golfers who already use their facilities. The community that golf creates for its participants is often cited as one of the most attractive aspects of golf, which is why the WGD format has been successfully introduced around the world. Some locations have participated in the project every year for ten years, which shows how valued WGD is throughout the industry.
Location Registration for 2025 is now open. We encourage golf courses and facilities to register now to take advantage of the many year-round benefits of having a registered site and hosting a WGD event. The new functionality and capabilities are shown in the sample list here: https://www.womensgolfday.com/location/wgd-sample-listing/.
“WGD is a joint effort. Without the support of locations, brands, golf management companies, retailers and governing bodies, we would not be able to engage, empower and support as many girls and women as we do,” explains the founder of Women’s Golf Day Eliza is happy. “Much has changed in ten years, but our four-hour experience continues to be effective and relevant, no matter where you are in the world. Our locations can now see the short and long-term impact, proving that registering with us to run WGD events is an easy way to recruit and retain female golfers.”
Women’s Golf Day 2025 will take place from May 27 to June 3, 2025. We invite all organizations and individuals involved in the golf industry to participate, including golf courses, private and public clubs, driving ranges, retail stores, golf education centers, golf instructors and league.
Registration starts at $159. and provides clubs with access to a range of benefits throughout the year. To record a location visit https://www.womensgolfday.com/register/.
