The breathtaking image of the “Olympic gravity-defying surfer” went gold
An extraordinary photograph by Tahiti-based French photographer Jerome Brouillet of Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina floating in the air while celebrating the third day of surfing competition at last year’s Olympic Games has won the top prize at the 2025 World Sports Photography Awards.
