Luke Humphries he is no longer the current world champion, but he is still number one in the world. However, he had to find out that not everyone is his fan Dart Premier League.
Humphries recalls an incident last year during a Premier League Darts match.
“I think it was actually the Premier League. I played Luke (Littler). I remember one guy. I really can’t say that word on camera. Honestly, quite terrible, I say the C-word quite often. You guys just keep calling me,” JaackMaate said on Happy Hour.
“You’re C, you’re C… you keep trying to discourage me.
“I kind of looked at him and said, ‘what the hell are you doing?’ How to grow up, you are 30, 40 years old. I looked at him and said, grow up, buddy. Can you imagine your 12-year-old son’s dad screaming, yelling and swearing at a darts player?
“I would expect that from a 15-year-old kid, not a 40-year-old man. It had nothing to do with Luke, he was just a guy who wanted him to win. I’ve had this before from other players.

Deterrence
“I’m here trying to give you a great game and you’re embarrassing me so much that it’s kind of not nice. You’re aloof when it comes to things like this and it discourages you. Then you think you don’t want to be on stage anymore.
“This is not an environment I want to be involved in. You can’t wait to get started.
Although, of course, Humphries realizes that this is a minority. “It’s a bit confusing when people come to darts and just want to put them off. We are talking about two or three percent. When it comes to darts, isn’t it best to see players who just pick up the game and play brilliantly.
Humphries continued to be active in the Bahrain Darts Masters this week. In the opening tournament of the 2025 World Series of Darts, he lost 7-6 in the semi-finals to Stephen Bunting.
Great game with my good friend @sbunting180 upset about the failure, but happy that Stephen is making progress! I still feel like my game needs some refinement before I get back to my best. It’s been a great week here in Bahrain. I will work harder to be better! 👊🏻❤️🎯 @OfficialPDC https://t.co/tGxpxynk7b
